Alessia Toracca. Restoration is an activity related to the maintenance, the recovery, the restoration and the conservation of works of art, cultural goods, monuments and, in general, historic objects − such as architectural items, manuscripts, paintings, objects and so forth − to which a particular value is attributed. Our task is exactly to plan and carry out decoration and restoration interventions so as to preserve and enhance historic buildings and works of art of special historic, artistic and architectural value − from painted façades to interiors − through the use of appropriate materials and techniques. We give expert advice, perform site inspections and make free quote enquiries. We offer all the knowledge we have been acquirjng over more than 20 years of work and professional training in this field. Decorating, restoring and rebuilding means, above all, giving new life to the history of ancient art through painting. That is the philosophy of “Equipe restauro s.a.s.” which combines the mastery of modern technical means with the knowledge of traditional materials: a true guarantee of the closest attention to detail and, therefore, of the fullest satisfaction of the customer.
Laura Vannucchi. Her debut as a professional restorer dates back to 1987 as she took part in a restoration project concerning natural stone surfaces and paintings of churches, monuments, villas and palaces of great historic and artistic value in the Italian (particularly Tuscan) scene. Such a training provided her with an extensive experience in all the phases of restoration, from planning to operating directly in the working sites. Laura Vannucchi is constantly increasing her professional expertise, focusing in particular on wall painting restoration. She has been working in the field for twenty-five years now, joining restoration projects in partnership with others, but also carrying out restoration works on her own, both for public and private commitments.
She has also turned her interest towards decor. Putting into practice her knowledge on ancient artistic techniques and the quality of materials, combining it with experience and with the artistic gift she is endowed with, she has made precious decoration works such as: fresco painting, dry painting, quadratura (illusionistic ceiling painting), graffitoes, encaustic painting, stuccoes, faux marble, faux wood, faux upholstery, trompe l'oeil, gilding; works for private mansions, hotels, shops, schools.
Michele Benvenuti. He has been working professionally in the field for thirty years and deepened his expertise mainly in wood restoration, addressing all areas of use of this material as part of Cultural Heritage, from antique furnishing to sculpture, from architectural modeling to wood painting. All over the years, he has been working for the Sovraintendenza (the goverment office in charge of Cultural Heritage) of Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Genoa, Salerno, Avellino, and also for the Vatican Fabbrica of St. Peter. He has been adding to operational deployments ongoing research on the evolution of materials and restoration techniques. On occasion, he himself contributed to evolution by introducing new methods, especially in the area of containing systems for the stands of painted panels. As a chief operating officer, he has supervised works of considerable complexity, such as the restoration of the wooden model of St. Peter Basilica, which lasted about three years and required more than thirty thousands hours of work.
